Manage-Storefront


Hey Folks! You told us, we heard that! This time we have updated our Storefronts with cool new features to manage and organize your products easily.

  1. Added Tag, Category Filters
  2. Modify Product Positions with drag-drop.
  3. Upload different Store Banners for Desktop, Mobile. Edit your Store Description from a single page.
  4. Edit Campaign Title, Description, Tags from ‘Manage Storefronts’ page.

How to Create a StoreFront 3.0? What are the features in it?

Step 1: Login to your My Dream Store’s account. Click on ‘My-Account’ and select ‘Store-Fronts’

Step 2: You are now on the Storefronts page now. Click on ‘Create a new one’ button to create a Storefront.

Step 3: In the next screen, enter the Name of your storefront, custom URL and add a cool description to it. You can also add custom banners to your storefront to give it an appealing look. Click on ‘Edit Desktop Cover’, ‘Edit Mobile Cover’ buttons to upload your banner images. Select the Campaigns you wish to add in this storefront and click on ‘Create’ button. (Please note that you should select at-least 2 Campaigns to create a store-front)

Step 4: Your Storefront is now created with the selected campaigns. In this new update you can notice a buyer can filter products based on the Category, Tag filters. This makes the store much organized. One can also interchange product positions in the storefront just by ‘drag and dropping’ them to the desired positions. This helps campaigners to feature his key products in the store.

Below is an example of how a campaigner has organized his different birthday niche campaigns under single URL. With this the buyer has more freedom to navigate and look for the products he wish.

We started November with a bang! In November Week 1, we have recorded our all time high sales numbers. On 8th November our Government has announced Demonetization making the 500, 1000 denominations unacceptable.  This move has drastically affected eCommerce companies which mostly rely upon COD orders.

In this article, Sumanth our Marketing Head and also an alumnus of IIM Lucknow discusses the positive- negative impact of Demonetization and why campaigners have reasons to cherish in the long run.

Higher Proportion of Prepaid orders

One positive aspect of Demonetization is the increase in prepaid transactions. More customers are now opting for internet banking, credit card, debit card, mobile wallets to make their payments online. That means with more prepaid orders there are less returns, more successful deliveries and better profits for our sellers. In the long run we expect this trend to continue and bring positive results mentioned.

CODs are Back!

As we all are aware, the entire nation has faced cash crunch issues – as a result COD orders have plummeted by 80% and prepaid orders have dipped 60% in the week following Demonetization.

 In these tough times, we helped our campaigners to get sales by offering Rs. 50 off + Rs.50 cashback on prepaid orders – this resulted in quick normalization of the prepaid orders but COD orders took time to get back on track.  Encouragingly, there has been a significant increase in COD orders from Week 3 of December and now we are on the same scale as of Octobers order quantities.  Now with more cash supply, more ATMs operational COD orders are on the raise and are here to stay!

From December 21, 2016 we have successfully implemented and started a 3-day dispatch cycle i.e campaigns are dispatched to the respective buyers within three days from the campaign closure. This means less time a customer waits for his product, lesser cancellations and more profits for you.

Weekly Payouts

You will now receive your payouts on a weekly basis! Earlier campaigners had to wait till all the products in a campaign to be delivered to get their payout. These hassles are now eliminated with the Weekly Payout Cycle  system. With you receiving the payout money every week you will have funds to invest in FB ads or enjoy them at your will!

New Product Additions

Recently we have added Polo T-shirts, Baby rompers in our product offerings. We have noticed lower conversion costs for Polo tees, we recommend our campaigners to reach out their previous visitors (custom audiences) and cross sell Polo Tees with fresh designs. Back in December 2015, Mubaid Syed, Founder and CEO of a well known e-commerce company was going through tough times financially in his startup. He was desperately seeking investors, looking for funds to take his startup to the next level and keep his startup dreams alive. “I waited. I waited hoping for a positive response from any of the angel investors. The talks have been going on for months. I started to get frustrated as most of my time was going in making excels, meetings, presentations and very less on growing the business” recollects Mubaid.

After lot of chasing, refusals from investors, the time had come to end for his 3 year entrepreneurial journey. “I couldn’t move or talk, tears in my eyes, I fell on the bed thinking it’s over. I am done. I am done running after investors. I am done with this startup thing. Did I fail everyone? My parents, friends, myself?” questioned his inner self. He didn’t have any money left. With his Education loan, Personal loan, Company loan all piled up he had no other option but to look for jobs elsewhere.

“I opened my laptop and typed on Google – Job Resume Templates. While it loads, I opened Facebook and casually went through my news feed and something caught my eye.” An ad from My Dream Store that read – “Create & Sell T Shirts without any Inventory”…

……and the Rest is History.

Fast forward to September 2016, 8 months later, these are the profits he made from My Dream Store. And funnily, it’s almost the equal amount he was seeking from investors just 8 months back.

Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step..

Mubaid’s first ever campaign on MyDreamStore was targeted towards doctors, that read “Trust me I am a Doctor”. Starting with just Rs 250/- per day, he applied everything he learned about marketing, Facebook Ads. Scared to spend more money in ads, he always kept the budget as low as possible. Luckily, he started getting good sales.

Going forwards, he tweaked the design and launched similar ads for Engineers, Accountants, Architects, Lawyers and every single profession he could think of. “Do you know what I did next? I went to Google typed, list of professions in India”

And for next few months, he started launching campaigns for every single profession he could find. Just changing the profession name and applying what is working. The snowball effect started. From 5 sales per day to 100 sales per day in couple of months.

“The sales for early designs started to dip, so I decided to look for fresh ideas. I created new designs for hobbies like photography, travel, gym etc.” And he always kept looking for new ideas, new niches on which he can make a design for.

“It’s not a Get Rich Quick scheme. It takes a lot of hard work. In early days, I went completely mad. I didn’t leave my room for days. Everyday, I would spend 3-4 hours learning about Facebook Ads, marketing, targeting etc. Learn as much as possible. There is no substitute for it” he added.

Now, Mubaid is an accomplished full time campaigner earning money by selling t-shirts, hoodies, mobile cases, posters and many awesome products on My Dream Store. Mubaid spends his free time sketching and he is an avid gamer too. He said he got his long dreamt gadget XBox with the help of profits made from My Dream Store.

With the financial freedom he attained he was able to clear his credit card bills and some part of personal loan, education loan (the beautiful gift of MBA as per him) and is happily married.
